To Whom It May Concern, I have the pleasure in providing this reference for Harry King. I am the Victoria State Development Program Bendigo Hub Lead coach for Basketball Victoria and Harry was selected as a member of our program after attending trials in September 2023 as an under 18 athlete. Harry displayed the required attributes both as a basketballer and athlete at the trials to warrant his selection into the 2022/23 program. Harry has a strong understanding of basketball, and his basketball IQ is at a high level. His athletic ability allows for him to play both on the perimeter and inside which would have been a contributing factor towards Harry being awarded a NBL1 contract with the Bendigo Braves for the 2023 NBL1 season. Due to Harry receiving his NBL1 contract and his heavy school load during year 12 he unfortunately made the difficult decision to withdraw from the SDP program which was completely understandable given the time requirements needed for the high-level senior basketball commitment and attaining high year 12 results. It is fantastic that Harry is attempting to strive to improve himself both academically and as an athlete by applying for the scholarship and he would be a fine addition to your University. If you would like any further details regarding Harry, please do not hesitate to contact me at adam.tarr@basketballvictoria.com.au or via mobile on 0437 627 950. Yours sincerely, Adam Tarr Basketball Victoria Hub Lead Coach – Bendigo |
