Connor Sinclair, Class of 2023/2024

Personal Statement

I have always been interested in sport. I have enjoyed Cross Country, Track and Field, Touch Football, European Handball, and swimming, as well as receiving a bronze sporting award at school in 2021.

I started playing AFL (Australian rules football) when I was 8 years old until a few years later when basketball became my main interest and have aspired to play professional basketball. I have enjoyed playing basketball at various different levels, participating in District and Regional representative games, winning the interschool championship with my school, playing Division 1 and winning a Division 2 Club Championship.

I have always been a leader, leading from the front, encouraging my peers and teammates. My main influences are my parents, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Allen

Iverson.

Basketball overall has taught me self-discipline, resilience, and that you need to be committed and I am 100% committed to the game. In the classroom I strive to do my best and put in full effort. Wherever I attend college, I want to push myself in the classroom and especially on the basketball court. My goal in high school is to continue studying health, sport, and food & nutrition, however in college I would like to focus on playing college basketball and learning about psychology and sports journalism. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the best suited college at the highest level of all competition possible. I hope to continue being a leader, and great model to everyone I possibly can and make my parents proud.
