Many student-athletes have aspirations of going through the process of gaining a placement to earn an education and potential scholarship opportunities to play sport in the United States or Canada.
Over the last few years, more and more Australian & New Zealand students are trying to gain these opportunities, to live, study & play in a foreign country after high school and to receive an athletic scholarship that will, in some cases, pay for part or all of their college/university tuition.
Many coaches have contacted us direct searching for that extra player that would be a cultural fit to their team, where value could be added in terms of athletic ability, leadership and skills, sometimes, they are looking for a player and searching can begin 1-2 years prior to placement. (Obviously, the longer time we have to promote a player, the better the outcome).
In a 4 year college, planning for coaches generally begins when players are in their 3rd year, however, as a team has a mixture of all ages, the process repeats itself every year and many coaches commencing planning well ahead of time and players graduate every year. This means, we should start promoting athletes from Year 11.
